montauk point lighthouse

I'm currently in Miami, making my way south to the Keys for my best friend's wedding. Last week I visited Montauk, Long Island and captured this lighthouse with my Nikon.

kрасная жара

Katya (red heat) will always remember her American comrade with this golden combination I created for her. I made it strong, like a Russian tank. I'm obsessed with chains at the moment, come get some.

aaron hunsaker

My good friend Aaron Hunsaker was in town this week, teaching a yoga workshop at Pure Yoga.  It was so good to share some time with him and catch up. Keep an eye out for Aaron, I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more of him on the east coast. You can currently find Aaron teaching at Centered City Yoga in my beloved Salt Lake City.

108 ism

Today, April 18th is the 108th day of the year. It's also a full moon, Jewish Passover and when the legendary "last supper" of Jesus Christ and his disciples supposedly took place. Something to think about.

Charles Moore

I visited the Charles Moore exhibit today @ the Steven Kasher Gallery on the recommendation of my friend Ellen. Moore made some of the most significant photographs of the civil rights movement. His work ignited my emotions, I was left feeling ashamed of my association with the human race. Images of grown men beating women with clubs now haunt my mind. I can't help making the connection between this brutality and the one we are currently inflicting on other species. "Humankind is not supreme"!  -downcast

venus project/ jacque fresco

I first learned of the Venus Project and futurist Jacque Fresco's work from The Zeitgeist film series in 2007. The main goal of this series are to create awareness about the world we share, the problems we face, along with what we can do to make it better as a collective species. I find Jacques work very interesting and extremely relevant in these drastically changing times.

About

Jacque Fresco's background includes industrial design and social engineering, as well as being a forerunner in the field of Human Factors. Mr. Fresco has worked as both designer and inventor in a wide range of fields spanning from biomedical innovations to totally integrated social systems.
The Venus Project reflects the culmination of Jacque Fresco's life work: the integration of the best of science and technology into a comprehensive plan for a new society based on human and environmental concern. It is a global vision of hope for the future of humankind in our technological age.

The Venus Project is an organization that proposes a feasible plan of action for social change, one that works towards a peaceful and sustainable global civilization. It outlines an alternative to strive toward where human rights are no longer paper proclamations but a way of life.

conch/ lobe piercing

I had a lot of fun dressing these two simple piercings up in gold. The chain and bead give this modern piercing an ancient feel.
