Charles Moore

I visited the Charles Moore exhibit today @ the Steven Kasher Gallery on the recommendation of my friend Ellen. Moore made some of the most significant photographs of the civil rights movement. His work ignited my emotions, I was left feeling ashamed of my association with the human race. Images of grown men beating women with clubs now haunt my mind. I can't help making the connection between this brutality and the one we are currently inflicting on other species. "Humankind is not supreme"!  -downcast

  1. the crazy thing about looking at those images is it really wasn't that long ago...and unfortunately human brutality just gets passed around from century to century... thanks for the heads up on the exhibit, Im definitely going to go see it.
