My friend Marvin Nygaard was just visiting new york from Norway. His band Kvelertak was recording their new album in Boston with Kurt Ballou (gutarist from Converge). They finished recording early, so he had a few days off to come get tattooed and hang out. I know Marvin from our mutual friends and fellow Norwegian metal band Purified in Blood. Check out Kvelertak's Music, hopefully they will be doing a US tour sometime soon.

vic back

My close friend Vic Back was just in town. He had been tagging along with Killswitch Engage while they toured the United States, tattooing; bands, techs, and friends along the way. Me and Vic go back about 10 years and is an important part of where i come from. Lets just say, we know each other from our less cooler days. It was really good spending a few days with him and catching up with some other mutual friends i hadn't seen for a while.
If your not familiar with Vic's work already, click the link and check out his blog. He is always up to some crazy shit. Vic Promised me he would come stay in May so email him and tell him you want to get tattooed.
Vic lives and works in Salt Lake City. You can find him @ Good Times Tattoo.

damn it feels good to be a gangster

I had a great day today. I met up with Autumn for breakfast @ Bliss on Bedford Ave. in Williamsburg. We had vegan french toast/ coffee and shot the shit. We eventually made our way to Brooklyn Adorned where I am temporarily working a couple of times month. This frees Autumn up to work in the photo studio but more importantly we get to hang and i get to see everyone at the brooklyn location. Marina met me for lunch so we ordered delivery from Boneshakers. Not quit nice enough to eat out side under the bridge or on the roof but we kicked back and had some laughs anyways. Later my friend Leila stopped in to say hello. I made her try pretty things on and snapped some shots of her doing so. I ended the night with a nice dinner at Little Frankie's with James and Evan. I Hope your day ruled as much as mine did.-C

the aviation orange

I had a great day off today. I spent the afternoon running around town with my friends Andrea and Marvin. Marvin is visiting from Norway. His band has been recording in Boston, they finished sooner than expected so he had a few days to chill in new york before flying home. Great dude, cant wait to hear his new album.
Later, Alyssa convinced me to step out side of my comfort zone and see our friend Anna sing opera, to hip hop beats. Very fucking cool. Not disappointed at all.
With just enough time, i jumped in a cab to Santos Party House to see my friend Josh Harris's band The Aviation Orange play a set. These dudes are about to the hit the big time, don't say i didn't say so. Here is their video, good luck getting it out of your head. Enjoy...
